It has always struck me that there are lots of computer games aimed at boys but not so many for girls. I suppose some girls play the boyish games but no boys would play girly games and so I expect that goes partly to explaining it. I was really pleased recently when I noticed some free cooking games which I thought would be lovely for girls. Not that there is anything wrong with boys cooking and it is of course important for them to both learn to cook. But it is nice to see that there are cooking games that girls can enjoy and that will also teach them some useful skills. There are other great girls games as well such as fun waitress games and other things. It is a great way to keep girls entertained and happy and learning how to use a computer as well as some useful skills. Take a look and see whether you agree.
Fun Holiday – May 9th, 2009
How about an experince lthat you would never forget? Is that something that you would want form your holiday? Some people just want to relax, some want to have fun and others want to do something that they have never done before. It really depends on you. If you like experiencing new things and would like a bit of a challenge then having a mig 31 flight is something that you are likely not to have done before. Airport Parking – April 14th, 2009
If you are parking at an airport then you might not be familiar with how expensive it can be, especially if you are not a frequent traveller. Recently I had to do some San Francisco airport parking because I was making a short trip and I was shocked at how much it cost me for the small amount of time that I was there. It was quite a blow as I did not allow for that expense when calculating the costs of my trip and so it left me in trouble. Since that I have discovered that there are websites where you can find discount airport parking if you pay in advance. I mentioned this mishap to a friend of mine and she told me about a site that she used and she saved a considerable amount of money. I looked around on the Internet and found that there were lots of sites like this. I will certainly be using one of these sites in future to make sure that I save money and I am aware of the cost before I travel. Hopefully more people will become aware of these reduced prices and take advantage of the savings that are to be had.
Saving Money on Golf Equipment – March 4th, 2009
Even though I really love playing golf, sometimes I begrudge paying the high prices for the golf equipment that I have to buy. I recently bought a pair of golf shoes and because I wanted to make sure that I got a good quality shoe and therefore good value for money, I ended up paying a lot more than I wanted. I can understand why someone would want to pay a lot for this sort of thing, if they are competing or playing golf professionally but for a golfer who is playing as a hobby, it is a shame that the prices are so high. The same seems to be the case with all equipment. I have noticed that it does seem cheaper to buy on line. My local gold equipment store tends to be at least 10% dearer than some of the on line shops. I like using the store because I get on well with the owner but when I recently needed some new putters I must admit that I went on line because the site I used cost a lot less than my local store. It is very well paying a few dollars extra for balls and tees but when it comes to more expensive things when much greater savings can be made, I am probably going to regularly start buying on line.
Summer Vacation is Booked! – February 11th, 2009
I just cannot wait for my two summer vacations this year. I have managed to get two sets of tickets for two of the best summer festivals in the UK. I have got both Seatwave V Festival Tickets and T in the Park tickets on Seatwave as well. It is fantastic news as I have wanted to go to these events for ages and the chances of seeing Metallica, Oasis, Blur, ACDC and many other top bands is really exciting. The best thing is that by buying from Seat wave means that if I cannot attend due to ill health or travel problems, I can get a refund on my tickets. This is great news as I am prone to illness but I have to buy the tickets well in advance just to make sure that I have some before they all sell out.
Fun Holidays – February 10th, 2009
I have never really thought about a holiday as being anything but a relaxing break in a coastal town. As a child, I just loved the beach and would not let my parents take me anywhere that was not on the coast. However, as I have got older, I have realised the fun that you can have with city breaks as well as holidaying in the countryside. It is in fact rather limiting, just restricting yourself to coastal holidays all of the time. This year I want to do something completely different. Some people like adventurous holidays where they go bungee jumping or white water rafting but to me that is just too much. I have decided, that I would like to go to a music festival for my holiday. I have therefore got some Seatwave Reading Festival tickets and am looking forward to a fun filled weekend. I am not so sure about the camping side of things, as I have never camped before, but now that my Reading Tickets 2009 have arrived and I have some idea of who will be in the Reading Festival lineup, there is no way that I am going to do anything else this year!
Hotels in Ottawa – February 9th, 2009
I have been looking around for a cheap Ottawa Hotel lately. I am going to visit my relatives there soon, which is really exciting and I need somewhere to stay while I am there. I want to be fairly close to their apartment but also close to all of the attractions of the city. It will be really good fun seeing them and being able to explore this great place at the same time. I love looking round big cities, partly because of all the shopping! I guess that I am bit of a shopoholic and I love seeing what the difference are between shops in different countries and how things are prices. I also like to get nice gifts to take home with me for my friends and family. It is always nice that there is plenty going on in the evenings too, I love to have a meal and then go to a nice bar, club or even see a film or a show and in a big city there is always an opportunity to do this. If I can find a really cheap hotel, then I will be able to have more money to spend on this sort of thing and really enjoy myself while I am there - I might even be able to treat my relatives to a nice meal and evenings outw ith me.
Villa vacation – February 6th, 2009
My friend has been telling me all about this villa holiday that she has just booked up. She said that she has decided to go to Spain this year and stay in a really luxurious place and she showed me the website and details about it. She said that she is sick of staying n a place which has less conveniences than her current house as she feels like she is working harder when she is away than when she is at home. She therefore decided to book a villa which had more than she had at home so she would really be able to relax. After looking at the details, I now feel tempted to book the villa next door and go on holiday with her, it looks fantastic and I am sure that if I could take the time off work, she would be happy for me to do this. I am not sure how happy my husband would be about the idea though!
One Famous Landmark San Francisco – January 24th, 2009
One of the most famous landmarks in San Francisco is probably the Golden Gate Bridge. It is a suspension bridge connecting San Francisco peninsula and Mairin County. It was completed in 1957 and at the time was the longest suspension bridge in the world. It spans the Golden Gate which is a stretch of water that is very hard to cross by boat due to the strong currents. It carries two main routes of traffic and is one of the most well known features in California. It is also one of the top five most loved architectural structures in America by the Architectural Institute of Architects.
Tourism in San Francisco – December 16th, 2008
San Francisco is a popular tourist destination. The main tourist attraction is the Golden Gate Bridge, but it is also well known for its cable cars, Coit Tower, Alcatraz Island and Chinatown. It has a mix of Victorian and modern architecture which makes it an interesting place to walk around. There are steep rolling hills which are lovely to look at as well. There are beaches which are great for walking and hang gliding but not suitable for swimming or any water sports due to the dangerous tides. The population is very diverse, meaning that there is a great range of shops catering for all tastes.
